Lights! Camera! Fashion!
It's been forever since I've had a post about fashion.... Well Fall 2010 Fashion Week just passed by soI shall state the trends. I've been seeing lots of nice, feminime, tailored pieces that look so put together, which I love! Also, I've been seeing black and white mis-matched pieces that look very graphic and awesome. Just lots of very girly pieces with flowers and sparkles!

Pee Wee Herman Show

A couple weekends ago I got to see the fantastic live Pee Wee Herman Show! It was super entertaining and the audience had to participate in some parts. The set was awesome, very colorful ( suprise, suprise) and fun! Pee Wee and the cast all seemed very happy and excited to be doing that show. Sadly, it was only a 4 week performance so maybe in another 10 years they'll be back! Anyways, that show was a blast and I'm so happy I got to go!

Bake Sale- V Day

For Valentine's Day I had a bake sale for one of the farm animal sanctuaries. All the proceeds went to caring for the animals and keeping the place strong. It was honestly a blast for me! You could call me a people person (trust me though, I'm shy also when it comes to making friends!) so it was fun showing all my favorite treats to customers who needed advice on what to get! I brought chocolate with strawberry cupcakes, red velvet with cream cheese frosting cupcakes, brownies, cookies and rice krispie treats. The rice krispie treats were a first for me and kind of an experiment and they turned out successful , everybody loved them! They were super easy and fun! I also got to hang with the pigs before and then the goats after. Afterwards, we went to Subway and got a veggie sandwich which was satisfying after a hard day's work(jk). Then to top that day off I had a sleepover with my two besties! Food, Friends, plus Farm sanctuaries, make my day! xoxo

RIP Alexander McQueen

Today there has been a terrible loss in the fashion industry. The fierce, brave, amazing, designer, Alexander McQueen has passed away. I just can't believe it. He was a legend, and he was only 40. McQueen was such an icon of mine because he didn't care what anybody thought. He was bold. I guess he killed himself. Alexander had some terrible losses in his family which probabaly made him pretty depressed. It just proves that you can have all the money, talent, fame, and still not be happy. I'm dressing crazy tomorrow in memorance of him. We'll never forget the fashion legend who had probabaly the most original designs ever.

Bake Sale for Haiti

Yesterday, I brought some baked goods to a fundraiser for Haiti. I made chocolate mint cupcakes that everyone said looked so elegant. I also brought brownies, blueberry muffins, and black velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. This bake sale was like heaven for me. The first thing that caught my eye were the vegan cannolis. I had never had a cannoli vegan or not but boy, those were delicious! I think I've found my favorite treat now. It was so nice being able to choose whatever you'd like to get. We loaded up on treats including: Ding Dong, bacon-peanut butter cookie, fried cupcake on a stick, rice krispie treat, cinnamon roll, chcolate mint cookie, and a root bear cupcake. Mmmm... Don't worry, I didnt eat all of that. That would've made me sick, well I am at home sick today but anyways I split all of that between my brother and mom. I got to meet new bakers/bloggers and just recharge my vegan self which was very nice. Afterwards we went to Veggie Grill where I got the Santa Fe (I think that's what its called) chicken burger and a side of salad and caesar salad dressing. I tried the sweet potato fries that my mom got as I side and the Mac N Cheese my brother got on the side and both were very yummy. Also a waitress came around giving us their new nacho sample. Those were good! The only negative was the price. We thought it'd be ind of affordable, but it was worth it. That Sunday was a great food filled day!
