Mother's day is this Sunday! What will you be doing to celebrate your mother(or yourself)?Though you should appreciate your mother everyday, mother's day is a fabulous holiday to be appreciative towards your mother. They do a lot. I know my mother does.
Mother's Day isn't just a day to celebrate your mother, but all mothers. Human and non human. That's why, in honor of Mother's Day, I want you to drop any food with an animal ingredient. Really think about where your milk or eggs come from in honor of the animal mothers that produced them.
By consuming animal products you are contributing to the misery of a mother cow who just lost her baby right after she'd given birth to it. A mother cow will be slaughtered because of your "need" for her milk. A hen will be cramped in a cage just a little bigger than her with multiple other hens because of your "need" her eggs. A hen's male chicks will be grinded alive because of your "need" for her eggs. A male calf, new to life, will be in a tiny crate tied down and about to be sent to slaughter for veal because of your dairy eating habits. Sounds like a pretty pure and sweet Mother's Day, huh? Yeah right.
My non vegan readers, I don't mean to be super harsh but, this is reality, and if you want to stop being attached to this disgusting industry that causes so much pain and misery to our fellow Mothers, you can. Celebrating your way to life by eating death is so ironic.
In honor of Mother's Day go vegan! You won't just save a few animals; but about a 100 animals a year. What a wonderful gift for all Mothers!
